Honestly, IMO, the best thing to do for full NG+ support is to allow for players to win every fight that the plot mandates you lose, and unlock an alternate ending or something.

Depending on how strong Dealer is, maybe NG+ Vampire Mila could ACTUALLY beat what Dorian wants out of him? But hey, you don't have to. It can just be "start the game again with big stats and ignore the canon inconsistency"

What will happen now that Mila and Ophelia have found the first Maligorb? What world do Lord Dorian and his Brides plan to create? Will Eliza find out what happened to her sister? Will anyone be able to take the title of Best Girl away from Lauren? Find out next time on Crimson Veil V!

I would guess that it's based on Ophelia's position, which can be manipulated by entering the cutscene in different ways. Having party members fall into designated positions in cutscenes would likely prevent this sort of thing in future.

A free idea (for anyone who wants it) would be a game based on whoever fulfils Mila's role in the Hunter Route if she becomes one of Dorian's brides.

Sometimes RPGs have optional content that contains more powerful foes than the main storyline. While it would be nice to have said storyline scale up in response to your strength, some people prefer it not to: they prefer to feel their characters' power. (Sometimes I agree, sometimes it would be nice to have the final boss become stronger than the superboss if you beat him prior to the fight) If you're concerned about Mila power creeping out of control, try a playthrough where you tackle fewer sidequests and level up less. Slay fewer vampires/feed on fewer people, don't get quite as much good equipment.

See how far you can push it.

Indeed, it's not just a matter of writing new dialogue for encounters, you also need to track if the player lost due to surrendering or due to meeting a more typical loss condition (such as Mila hitting 0 HP) - while it sounds trivial, if the game isn't set up to support such conditionals, you need to rip it up and stitch it back together with said conditionals.

Hey, don't underestimate the whacking power of a solid broom. The bristles make it less aerodynamic, but it's better than a paperback romance novel!

also, HYPE

Didn't realise it was your birthday, mate. Happy belated one. Was too busy playing your game! XD You know the H-game's a good one when you start caring more about the game than the H. I did find a pair of bugs in the V route, though - not sure if you know about 'em. This crash happens when you inspect the journal entry for Edith and Lauren's recruitment mission after having completed it, and there's a minor scripting error in the Rotten Grove, where Mila looks awfully alive. (the game is using Hunter Mila's portrait)

Yeah, the lust is the player's, not the character's! The Surrender button is... right... there... after all. XD

Hey, better than some suit telling you that the investors demand this flag with the colours, not that one with the stripes. I know how rough such solo indie work can be. After all, nothing's come of my efforts thus far. :P (Except experience, and that's valuable in its own right!)

But I do say, it's far better than having someone tell you what to do for reasons other than making a good game.

It looks good so far! With the fleshed out party system and all. The sort of thing modern games often promise, but can't deliver for reasons.

Pretty hyped for that vampire route - ironically it looks more wholesome for poor Mila than the hunter route; at least so far.
